MusArC project: la comunicazione al Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Cagliari. Work in progress

Abstract

Il presente articolo vuole offrire un resoconto sullo stato di avanzamento del progetto “MusArC”, concernente la riorganizzazione degli aspetti comunicativi del Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Cagliari. Dopo un breve excursus sulla storia del Museo e della collezione museale, si darà conto delle scelte progettuali discusse e condivise dal gruppo di lavoro e che al momento sono in fase di realizzazione; si cercherà altresì di spiegare le ragioni che hanno portato ad assumere decisioni, talvolta motivate dal preesistente allestimento, o dalla struttura delle teche, o ancora dall’attuale ordinamento dei reperti.

This paper will provide a report on the progress of the "MusArC" project on the reorganization of the communicative aspects of the National Archaeological Museum in Cagliari. After a brief excursus on the history of the museum and its collection, it also explains the design choices discussed and shared by the working group and which are currently under construction; it will also seek to explain the reasons which led to make decisions, sometimes motivated by the existing set-up, or the structure of the display cases, or by the present order of the archaeological materials.
