Sipoi di Boàtiri / Baratili S. Pietro (OR): la struttura infossata e i concotti. Ipotesi di interpretazione

Abstract

In questo contributo si presentano i risultati dello studio sistematico dei frammenti d’argilla
concotta provenienti dallo scavo della struttura infossata di Sipoi, riferibili a originarie murature in terra cruda.
L’analisi viene estesa anche alla stessa struttura infossata e alle altre coeve della Sardegna protonuragica,
in particolare a quelle del vicino sito di Sa Osa, tradizionalmente interpretate come strutture abitative, ma
piuttosto pertinenti, in molti casi, a fosse di cava per la terra da impiegare in strutture in elevato.

This paper presents the results of the systematic study of fired clay fragments from the excavation
of Sipoi's pit, which may refer to originals earthen walls. The analysis is also extended to the same pit and to
other coeval structures of Proto-Nuragic Sardinia. Particular attention focuses on the structures of the nearby
Sa Osa site, which are traditionally interpreted as housing structures but rather relevant to quarries for the
earth for structures built on the ground.
