Elementi scultorei nuragici dal territorio di San Sperate (CA)

Abstract

Il riesame dei manufatti scultorei nuragici, solo parzialmente editi e provenienti dal territorio di San Sperate, ha consentito di fornire nuovi ed interessanti dati da un contesto geografico ubicato nell’area centro-meridionale dell’Isola. Tali manufatti suggeriscono che il complesso statuario di Mont’e Prama di Cabras (OR) non sia un caso isolato ed allo stesso tempo indicano come fosse usuale e diffuso tra le genti nuragiche del IX e VIII sec. a.C. autorappresentarsi e rappresentare il potere sia in ambito sacro che funerario.

The review of nuragic sculptural artifacts, only partially edited and found in the territory of San Sperate, has allowed to provide new and interesting data in a geographic context located in the central-southern part of the Island. These artifacts suggest that the sculpture complex of Mont’e Prama in Cabras (OR) is not an isolated case and at the same time they indicate that it was common and diffused among the nuragic peoples of the IX and VIII century B.C. self-represent and representation of power in a sacred and funerary setting.
