Il nuraghe Is Paras di Isili (CA): notizie sul restauro di un complesso stratificato dall'Età del Bronzo recente all'Alto Medioevo

Abstract

Il nuraghe Is Paras di Isili è una fortezza con bastione trilobato cinta da un antemurale parzialmente conservato. Gli scavi hanno accertato che l’impianto risale al Bronzo Recente. L’insediamento perdura nel Bronzo Finale e nella prima età del Ferro quando raggiunge la massima espansione. Il sito è abitato nell’età romana imperiale e altomedioevale. Il restauro è stato preceduto da rilievi, documentazioni e indagini diagnostiche finalizzate alla conoscenza del nuraghe e degli interventi realizzati in passato. Le operazioni condotte, riassumibili in puliture, consolidamenti, incollaggi di elementi litici, stuccature e protezioni, sono state rispettose degli attuali orientamenti teorici e delle loro principali declinazioni: minimo intervento, compatibilità fisico-chimica e distinguibilità.

The Nuraghe Is Paras, near the town of Isili, is a fortress made up of a trefoil bastion and a partially intact exterior wall. Recent digs have shown that the original structure dates to the Late Bronze age. The human settlement in the structure continued through the end of the Bronze Age period and the beginning of the Iron Age when it reached its maximum expansion. The site was also inhabited during the Imperial Roman period and the early Medieval period. The restoration was preceded by several surveys, documentations and diagnostic studies geared towards the understanding both of the Nuraghe itself and of the interventions made in the past on the structure. The operations performed on the structure, consisting of cleaning, replacing missing stones, applying stucco and reinforcing the structure itself, have been done with all possible respect to up-to-date theoretical guidelines and their principle variations: a minimal disturbance, physical and chemical compatibility and the integrity of the site.
